The Bromley by Bow Centre Ltd. is a registered charity. Its purpose is defined as:
"To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the london borough of tower hamlets and the surrounding area by associating together the inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations to advance education, protect and preserve health, relieve poverty, sickness and distress and provide recreational facilities and any such charitable purposes as the trustees shall from time to time decide."
The ethos of the Bromley by Bow Centre is utterly inclusive. It's a place for 'associating together the inhabitants' and place to feel one belongs in. The centre's role as Health and Care and Education providers are, from our perspective as architects, complementary to the shared values in the immediate public environment which we hope it promotes through architecture.
